The recent BC Oppo meet is like the Supra for the FP. I plan on wringing as much #content out of it as I can. More photos from other people to come tomorrow and other posts from other attendees are still coming I would guess. Sorry to spam you all with this stuff.

Longtime Lurker had one of my GoPros on his car. It was set to timelapse instead of video and as a result I received 22,400 photos rather than any footage. I will be working on getting them to him so he can post/share whatever he wants!

I just wanted to post one photo out of the 22,400 showing the E55 AMG, Fiesta ST and the Charger in the background just having finished a nice little dirt slide.

Oh boy, I hope this means you have like 30 photos of the charger spinning around and can stitch them together into a gif of some sort. Do you have a link to the full collection? I’ll gladly comb through it and do that myself. Plus I’d love to see what else was captured.

Sadly not, I believe that he proceeded to pull in parallel with the other cars so wouldn’t have captured it.

Later this week I plan on making a sharedrive with all photos so everyone can pick and choose from them. I will keep the 22K photos in a separate folder and make that available too.

I tried uploading them this morning and my computer predictably had a stroke.

Ahh I didnt grasp the part where it was your go pro. I figured he had sent the files electronically anyways. Will wait impatiently for more #content then lol.

And its definitely not spam, this is free advertisement for the next meetup. If people knew how fun it was, theyd be more interested. Although we were nearing the maximum manageable group size (without serious coordination with radios and drivers meetings).

Yeah, I was thinking about that. We had a good spread for speed/numbers. I think we could have accommodated 1-2 more cars until we became our own traffic jam

It also greatly helped that there was only a handful of intersections in total, it was mostly just one road for the whole route. I’ve been on drives in the backwoods of Pennsylvania where the roads just keep going in every direction for hundreds of miles. But I’ve done that with a group of ~50 miatas before and somehow it wasnt a shitshow. And it managed to stay VERY spirited the whole time. I think the “you are responsible for the person behind you” concept works well there as well as having predetermined waypoints like we did this weekend. Radios, designated “guides” distributed in the pack of cars, and prerunning the routes certainly also help.

What we had going was pretty much perfect though. Couldnt have asked for a better trip!

I'm off to get my passport photos taken, after all the gorgeous shots I've seen and hearing about the driving, BC is high on my list for first international drives.

Adobe Premier Pro can do it, and being gopro JPEGs (not raw files right?) it might not be that stressful to run. I don’t have Premier pro though, just Li ghtroom and Photoshop.

I’d love it to be more of an “always hot” line so that everybody could chat while driving along. Sort of like a party line or something. I was actually curious if Discord or a similar app had that function. Not so helpful when the cell signal goes away but it’d be neat to do.
