I have never wrenched on a car before I bought this Miata last year. Today I installed coilovers on it (adjustable height and damping). It was much easier than expected. Gonna let the springs settle, get an alignment, level out the sway bars, and have a blast. Up next: sparco Sprint install, and wrapping it in blue!

What brand of coilovers did you go with ? My 2002 LS is on what I assume is original suspension. Still need to get around to deciding if I am installing the Flyin Miata butterfly b race and frame kit I picked up awhile back.

I went with the Meister r zeta crd. There were a lot of positive reviews of miata.net for them, and the only criticism I saw was in comparison to xidas, which are literally twice the price if not more. At the price point, from Flyin Miata you have to reuse the top hats and nothing on my car is fit for reuse. The car has 170k miles, so the shocks had somewhere between 500 and 170k. I found the crumbled remains of a bump stop in one, and nothing in the other three, so I think it was closer to 170k
