I know they’re perhaps the least important things this car needs but these little successes give me the motivation to tackle the bigger jobs. Besides, the old lights were baaaad:

Eep! There was water IN the bulb sockets. It’s a miracle it didn’t short and start a fire.

Seeing you fix stupid little things that shouldn’t need fixing but because it’s a late ‘90s/early 2000s BMW they need fixing anyway makes me miss my E46 but not really. I am confused.

The lights I removed were crappy Taiwanese knockoffs of the facelifted lights that had been installed sometime before I got the car. They deteriorated BADLY over the last five years.

So, naturally, I replaced them with crappy T aiwanese knockoffs

It happens. I’ve been bitching about my Cruze for months now and driving myself crazy looking at new/slightly used cars.

I just got a new intake manifold and ordered new struts and shocks for the Cruze.

I mean to be fair, he had some cheap Chinese taillights, so not really a BMW problem. I’ve almost never seen original BMW taillights leak like that.

The rear lights on my E46 delaminated and leaked like that. The adhesive between the bucket and lens would fail on them.
