Very interesting video showing the assembly of the Rover Imperial motorcycle and some neat footage of the testing team putting factory bikes through their paces. I didn’t realize today until I did some research that Rover of Land Rover fame actually started in 1896 (Edit: Correction 1878) as a bicycle builder, then started producing motorcycles before eventually moving to automobiles. Very cool stuff.

Rover actually started making bicycles in 1878.
1 887 Rover Safety Bicycle.
Several car companies started out making bicycles, then motorised bicycles and then motorbikes, etc...
Skoda started out making bicycles from parts bought from the U.K. and then assembled.
The Polish for bicycle is rower, pronounced rover.
