I’m really starting to like this thing. It’s still on it’s first tank of gas, but managed to get it’s 1st mods (tinted front windows & all weather mats), and 1st load in this week. Only complaint so far is from my son, who thinks the rear seats are too firm.

When I complained that getting in the back of my dad’s Audi 4000 coupe was difficult my dad said, “Well I got it for me, not you.” I loved that car.

FYI, 3000lbs of concrete in back of one will make it cry as I found out last week. The transmission was screaming for dear life.

My RAV4 has a terrible backseat, so I hated it before I started driving it. Now that it has good driver-specific features and it’s reliable, I like it.

Did the front wheels come off the gro und? The max payload is 1500lbs. I accidentally put a pallet of sod in my 95 F150 once, and the rear bumper was almost to uching the ground. I didn’t rea lize it was 3500 lbd . Ended up having to unload half of it by hand and make 2 trips.

No, but it could barely turn. The struts where bottomed out big time.

Yeah, doubling the limit of what could be back there will do that.

It’s my job to load it up, not to recommend when to stop. I’m not liable if anything breaks as a result of me  over loading it. It’s on a large sign before anything drives into the yard.

That sounds like something I’d say to my kid.

These dang kids complain too much

Is it quiet inside on the highway? I have heard lots of vehicles have better windows and noise reduction but I have no idea. The one thing that bugs me about my CRV is it has a lot of road noise and when I have to drive to San Jose for shows it’s hard to hear the radio sometimes, not relaxing!

I read it has: optional laminated windshield helping to produce a lower decibel reading in the cabin

Oh I have a question, is the bed storage compartment good for wet stuff, it has a drain. You could put a bunch of wetsuit stuff in there and rinse it out later?

Yeah, s ome people use it as a cooler.

It’s also wat er tight with the lid close d, and drain in place. So you could leave electronics in there and drive in heavy rain without fear of them getting wet.

Hopefully he gets used to it, because I'm planning on keeping it at least 10 years.

Oh good, that sounds good. I really wish the rear window rolled down like the back of a 4Runner, but at some point I will look hard at one of these. Thanks.

I had a first gen, I loved that truck, shouldn’t have gotten rid of it. I have a Land Cruiser now, but I still wish I had the bed. Honestly I feel these things are really underrated and get a lot of hate they don’t deserve.

I’m glad to hear you like it.  I think these are great all purpose vehicles that really make sense versus the street legal monster trucks everyone else is churning out.

The Tundra rear window can g o down. I wish that would catch on with more trucks. I’ve n ever found t he little sliding window all that useful.

Good on you. The Ridgeline is a great all purpose truck that does what 90% of people do with trucks. I would like one to replace my Camry when I move to Nashville for good  and I am done with the road warrior lifestyle.

Is this for work or for personal use?  Or both?
