The revised rules say that Model Aircraft used for “recreational purposes” (< 55lbs) are exempt of the requirement , but if you’re taking photos with your drone that you sell, or use for profit (eg: you’re a home inspector or real estate agent who uses drone photography as part of your inspecting/selling process) you’re a “commercial” sUAS Pilot under part 107, and must be licensed.
