A Chevy SSR in yellow was in the parking lot and so I had to take a picture. What a strange vehicle these always are. Especially for what they cost originally! Always makes me smile though so I always enjoy odball vehicles that seem like nonsense.

I remember being really excited by the concept vehicle. I was thinking it would be lower to the ground, like a 50s style el camino. Super underwhelmed when I saw one in person.

These always make me extremely happy to see.

My boss at my previous job had one of these. He tried to tell me that it was the most powerful production vehicle ever made. I already knew I was on my way out of that job so I had no problem informing him how wrong he was. I do think these are delightfully unique, but I didn’t have any patience for that BS.

Out of all the early 2000's retro shit, I think this is my favorite. I remember having the dealers training dvd for this and it was wild seeing all the neat features. The later 6.0/6 speed combos were pretty cool.

I had no idea this existed. Thanks!

I still love them despite their ridiculousness. My dad actually looked for one for a while, but apparently he HAD to have a yellow one or he wasn’t interested. Which is weird because his last 5 vehicles have been red. He couldn’t find a yellow one so he bought a Silverado.

I haven’t seen too many in the real world. I remember seeing one in the mid 2000s while in high school, must have been a new car then. It was someone local because I had seen it often on the way to school and was always mesmerized by the weird looking thing. Have not really seen more than 1 or 2 of them in the wild since then, so it was definitely a sight to behold.
