Maybe it’s for diabetics?

Hmm, disposing of my sharps can be a bit of a pain, maybe I should take them to Starbucks.

I’d rather drink it.

Prolly.  You’ll need some insulin after drinking half of what's on the menu these days.

While there I had my first Starbucks sugar cookie. Still sweating. You might be onto something.

My wife used to be involved with counselling staff at starbucks.  You would be shocked how many people die in those bathrooms in Vancouver.

I’m seeing a first job for a 22 year old. That is awful.

I went inside a Starbucks for the first time in a while the other day to use the washroom. Didn’t see one of these but encountered the unisex washrooms there f or the first time, admittedly to my confusion.

I was on mental autopilot. I walked down the little hallway and encountered door number one with a stick person p lacard showing both a person wearing pants and person wearing a dress. Without giving it any thought I assumed this was one of those “family washrooms” and continued to door number two.

Still in full stride, I glance at the placard for door n umber two as I approach it and see the aforementioned dress wearing s tick figure again. I assume it is the womens washroom and reach to open door number 3 at the end of the hallway.

As I’m opening door number 3 and stepping through the threshold I realize door number 2 actually had the same sign as door number 1. So does door number 3, in fact, but it has one more.

My mind didn't process the wheelchair sign until the door had clicked behind me.

“Several months ago, Starbucks opened up use of its bathrooms to customers and non-customers alike. Although that policy stressed “no sleeping, no drugs,” it seems that not everyone who uses the Starbucks bathrooms is on board with the latter.”

I nstead of air freshener, they should just emit a blast of nalaxone when they sense a lack of movement.

You can always inject it into your mouth. Probably  an inefficient way to drink though.

It really seems like it just over complicates and adds weight to an already efficient system.

My downtown public library stresses this same policy. Their elevators are s till a favorite place for homeless to take a nap.

Go read the comments and see how may people didn’t see this coming.

Not sure if you really like coffee and you’re throwing shade at  Starbucks or you don’t like coffee.

Well if you ever are feeling frisky try some nitro cold brew coffee and it might change your mind. It’s like a Guinness that wakes you up.

I’ll imbibe on a cold day every once in a while, but I prefer tea as my caffeine delivery system.

The lower acidity sounds intriguing. Does that help make it less bitter?

Yeah it’s a world of difference between hot and cold brews.

My mind was like “LOL, steroids in the bathroom at Starbucks?!” (I used to frequent a gym that had these in the locker room)

Then I was like, “Oh, that’s so nice for them to prepare their customers for the inevitable diabetes” and I lol’d.

Then I realized it was for heroin and I had a sad. I thought everyone was doing pills now.

Most move to heroin once the prescriptions run out.

Pills are still expensive compared to H. I stopped with the coke when I couldn’t afford it anymore. And golly  that was a “ sugar” crash for the ages...

Fair point, but also surprising to me. When I was a little more in the loop 20 years ago, Rx pills were still a lot cheaper than any street drugs because doctors hadn’t clamped down on them yet (People were still stealing them from grandma, etc).

Typical prices in a Southeastern college town were $5-$7 for Vicodin, Xanax, and the like. $20-$30 for Ecstasy (which I’ve heard has gotten a lot cheaper, which is pretty scary). $10-$20 for blotter acid. $60 an eighth for good quality buds, or less than half that for run-of-the-mill stuff. Coke was all over the board, but wasn’t my thing.

Also keep in mind the typical working wage for a college kid was $5.25/hr, so relatively speaking this was all pretty pricey -- but that usually encouraged moderation (or complete financial collapse!)
