this little Daihatsu Sirion replaced a series of two Holden Barinas. Bought new by our parents, then passed down to my eldest brother. I’m told it held up well, was cheap to own, but eventually did in its transmission (and had developed a bit of a funky smell)

I remember seeing these on Grand Cayman back around 2004 or so. I thought they were neat. I’d only seen them in Gran Turismo before that.

These older little daihatsus are low-key great cheap little cars. I slightly prefer the Cuore over the Sirion though.

what part of Aus are you in?
I have been lamenting my move to the US for these specifics reasons , my parents scrapped two Suby Outbacks and my brother this Daihatsu that I for sure would have saved had I been in Brisbane still.
