Down in the Hotel Parking Lot.

Sorry for the crappy pics, but it’s too neat not to share.

If you can’t tell, it’s a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 conversion. The carrier on the side looks too thin for a kayak, so perhaps it’s for a paddleboard or surfboard. It has a big lightbar and an a/c unit on top with the basket. I wish I could get a tour, but it’s not likely that I’ll come across the owner. I’m hoping they were just parked there while they checked in, but some people are buttheads and leave their cars next to the entrance. There was nobody checking in when I took the pics.

those are cool - neat adventure rig.  I wouldn’t mind spending a month a year wandering around in one of those.  “Hey boss, I’m going to work from home for the next month or so...”

If I were single, I’d consider that option. I’d have to have an adventure bike on back and a canoe or kayak on top. Maybe a mountain bike on there somewhere too.

Always wondered about those roof top AC units. Like, is the van AC by itself not enough? Does the AC unit have it’s own battery or generator or something?

I’ve never seen an SUV that has enough a/c to cool that volume of space. Supplementary units usually can run off shore power or a generator so you don’t have to run the engine while parked.
