73 years old today! I really love them, even now that I have the bike. I think mine will end up in my son’s hands, and I am going to look for a classic to restore.
Maybe I will ride mine today in honor of this happy birthday!

Yes! Ride it!
We had beautiful weather yesterday, so I rode my Zuma to school. Despite the fact that school is 4-miles from my house, I managed to put 30 miles on the scoot yesterday by the time I got home :)

In a typical Italian fashion, these things are both infuriating and charming, all at the same time ... smart engineering and gorgeous design, full of quirks and prone to failure. I do have a love/hate story with Vespas ...
I found a neglected black 19 79 125LX in an estate sale and restored it to it’s past glory for pennies , it’s now dubbed “Cat F ood M obile” as it’s ... well ... the bike I used to fetch food for the cat and short errands.
P ictured below is a 1971 (?) Primavera that also started as an empty shell but all fixed up with a refreshed heart , shocks, rubber and cables ... these damn cables tested my patience more than anything else on two wheels ... It runs like a scalded italian cat, when it runs. It’s now more of a garage decor, as my wife got a modern Vespa 150 for sunny day commute and yoga ride.

Good timing. I just picked up a summer short sleeve button down with a vespa print. It ’s probably a little tacky, but I like it haha

A little out of date, but a cute graphic nonetheless.

I would love to get my bike license and have a classic Vespa someday! They are very rare here in Nova Scotia where I am....that being said, ANY scooter is rare here, sadly. I’m more into scoots than motorcycles... :(
