Cars with replacement body panels that are also damaged. Did you replace damaged panels with other
damaged panels? O
r did you crash it again in such a way you only damaged the parts you had already damaged?
I may get to ask that if I can get in touch with this guy, as this 2wd 5.0 explorer might be per fect for a wagon drivetrain swap.

You know, I’ve noticed that too. Pretty much all over the US. Perhaps they just aren’t good seeing things on that side....also what percentage of owners will junkyard replace panels and not paint? I mean you have gone that far....

We never fixed paint growing up. I don’t remember too many accidents happening that resulted in body panel replacement while we owned the cars, but we ended up with a lot of haphazard vehicles anyway. Mismatched panels, primer spots, you name it. The vehicle I can think of that was fully repainted was an unsuccessful attempt to slow rust on a Datsun 510 wagon.

Once on a fine summer’s evening I saw something magical.a White last gen Mercury Sable with a beige hood, and a beige last gen Mercury Sable with a white hood. Parked facing each other in a Walmart parking lot.
Was this meeting an accident, a chance encounter, the result of a CL of one Sable owner looking for his car’s soul mate? Who knows. But I genuinely hope that the owners came out after grocery shopping saw what had occurred and promptly swapped hoods.

Could have been rusted out, they replaced it, then damaged it. Or replaced it with a damaged one. Or they hit a deer twice, they usually don’t damage the back of the vehicle. I’ve had to replace the same headlight within a year of each other because of that.
