Drivers here are interesting and so is the highway structure. Anything I should see/do/eat?

Are you staying up north, or going down to the beaches? Infuriating would be the word I'd use to describe lower Delaware drivers.

Dogfish Head brewery or restaurant

Fordham & Dominion Brewing Company, 1284 McD Drive, Dover DE. Awesome little brewery that puts out Copperhead Ale and the Old Dominion root beer. Just a super cool little place to tour and get beer. I’d call first, as I think they’re renovating the tasting room but am not sure if they’re still giving tours during the renovation.
That, or D ogfish Head Brewery in Milton, DE.

Ah, well, Grey Fox Public House on S State is delicious, also Governor’s Cafe across the street from Woodburn for breakfast/brunch . If you want a good burger, Restaurant 55 is excellent. This is not a big restaurant town, so when you find a good place, it’s all the more special for the rarity. There’s always the casino, too. Haven’t been in there since Doc Magrogan’s closed, but I’ve heard they have a new seafood/oyster house, and Michelle’s is reliably good.

The amount of weed I've smelled in traffic is disconcerting.

Slow and increasingly suffering from bad cataracts and diminished reaction times, at least in Sussex.

I’ll have to get out to the NE sometime. I’m intrigued by the idea of a state that’s significantly smaller than the county I live in.

I used to be able to roll cigarettes while driving.

there’s a place in Smyrna (just north of Dover) I like, Brick Works Brewery , Cool Springs Seafood restaurant in Dover is outstanding. There’s a few BBQ places on 13 that are decent, When Pigs Fly I think is the better one and there’s one next to Green Turtle. There’s a distillery in Smyrna you can take a tour in, think they do Gin and Vodka...haven’t been. Boondocks in Smyrna has extremely good crabs, results vary with season on size but always tasty.
Dover is not a real happening town, you really need to drive an hour north or south to get the better stuff. If you are in to partying go to Dewey Beach and hit the Rusty Rudder or Bottle and Cork...or anywhere really as it’s a party town. There’s a casino at the race track if that is your thing.

ever been to Cool Springs?

No, but I’ve heard good things. When Pigs Fly is a good suggestion, I took my parents there the last time they were in town, they still rave about it.

been 10 years or so since I’ve been to Cool Springs but it was the best meal I’ve ever had in the area. Have you t ried the BBQ next to Green Turtle?

Is that the Mission BBQ? I have, they're another chain, but you won't get a bad meal there. The plank grilled salmon was perfect.

I think Chick-fil-A is the highest rated one in town on Yelp. My boss thought I was joking, nope.

Good to hear. The tour leaves a little to be desired but the food is good.
