I want to drive a rolligon so damn badly. I’d settle for a ride.

Super wide tires? Why is it like this?

I’m guessing to distribute the weight of very heavy loads across ice.

Correction:  across the tundra.  During certain times of the year, the tundra can be really easy to get a vehicle stuck.  Wide tires + really low tire pressure = less likely to get stuck and tear up an ecosystem that can be pretty fragile.

Larger contact patch = more traction. Valuable when you’re driving on ice most of the time.

Tun dra travel. The tires spread out the vehicle weight so there is less/no evironmental damage  to the fragile surface, and it will float on top of snow to prevent getting stuck.
