I, however see the impending engine failure as the perfect 2.3 litre Ecoboost swap. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

My old coworker tried to talk me into this bad idea several times but refused to assist with the engine swap. He wasn’t very convincing.

The key is to accept the bad idea yourself, not let a flaker push you in and then bail when you need help.

At that age and mileage (kilometerage?), is the engine really the only thing you have to worry about though?

This is good life advice. I have a really dear friend who I did Formula with and he’s a good mechanic and especially keen on suspension stuff. Me and him can sit and bench race crazy car ideas for days. But so far the only project we’ve ever undertaken is replacing the clutch on his Pathfinder because it really needed it. If we purused every bad idea we would have at least 29 quater-to-half finished project cars and bikes just sitting around.

Instead, I’m saving myself for the right bad idea.
