I think this is nearly $5? USD a gallon? Not sure though. Monday morning = no math. Yes, I know it’s pricier in Europe, but you guys don’t roll in massive crossovers or pickups like we do.

I get closer to USD $5/gallon. Still a bit.
I paid something like $3.80 for premium yesterday, so while the spread is large, it doesn’t blow my mind.

Hmm $5 seems more likely. Still insane for regular.
I forecast many trips into Lynden this summer when the truck is insured.

Lets scrape together a few billion and buy an oil company.

I remember back in the day Sumas seemed to exist just because of gas stations, then they were all abandoned. I wonder if they are popping up again, one could do business with a station right at the border.

It’s really not any more percentage wise higher than it’s ever been.

I thought there was a station in Sumas right at the border?
I don’t go to Sumas too often, a little out in the sticks

There used to be like 10 there. After a while, the fad faded, and there was a joke that Sumas is “where gas stations go to die”.
I haven’t been over there in probably 5 or more years.

Both my cars do now, but yeah, the old dear gets the good stuff. And per the owner’s manual:

The term was up, I once toyed with the idea of buying it out, but being my 3rd W212, decided to move on. I can have only one “forever car”.
The replacement:

But as the kids said 10 years ago, YOLO. I get to bring down the age and weath demographics for the car, and it is a pretty sweet ride.

At the height of the gas prices in 2004 -2008 gas prices in California were $4-5/gallon and crude oil was north of $100/bbl. oil is currently at $70/bbl so we have a ways to go yet. Really I drive so very little for pleasure that it really doesn’t affect me.

Won’t last long, reason for the spike with “refinery maintenance”, though I feel a bit of collusion is the cause.
Also, barrel prices will drop on the next profit take, there is no fundamental reason for prices above $60.
