Where’s the 19 year old douchebag sitting on it, constantly revving it at a red light to make sure we all hear his awesome Akrapovic race exhaust?

Sport bike flew by me yesterday doing around a 100mph , lane splitting, with a lady passenger on t he back, wearing a short short skirt. The said skirt flipped up an d was covering her back, exposing her butt-tocks and a tiny piece of floss.
And to think that I used to put the lid over the back seat of my TL1000S when we would go cruising back in the day.... sigh.
Anyway, nice Suzuki. Neads moar red, white and blue.

Stuff like that can be seen on the regular in Chicago. One night while I was heading down I-94 just south of the Loop I saw a Busa 1300 doing a wheelie off a n on ramp. On the bike was a woman wearing a skin tight rubber suit (think dominatrix or cat suit kinda thing, not a riding suit) and high heels. To her credit she was wearing a helmet that matched the cat suit thing and the whole ensemble matched the bike . But yep, she was already speeding coming off the ramp and she was just feckin gone after a few seconds.

I’m thinking of getting one but aren’t sure - am torn between this, the ZX10R and KTM Duke 790 (I Know thats a weird cross-shop but they’re all around £9000 - the two 1000s would be used obviously)

The GSXR pictured is my housemate’s; it shares the garage with my Miata and Mazdaspeed 6 in the background .
I can’t give you cross-shopping advice, but I can confirm the Suzuki is very fast.

I’m also thinking of getting a Miata but am not sure (Full story: I’m moving to the UK, and am saving up for a Caterham Seven, but in the meantime am unsure if I should buy like an old Corolla or something, or an old MX-5 for around the same price, or if I should just forget the Caterham idea for a while and buy an early ND)

That’s an interesting situation you find yourself in. How would you use the Caterham? Backroad driving? Autocross? Track action? Would it be your only car? I’m not usually one to dissuade someone from buying an impractical sportscar, but I have to imagine buying a Caterham is a lifestyle choice more than a car choice. A Miata (new or old) would be a good compromise of fun and dailyability. My Miata was my only car for many years and served me, a single, recent college grad, very nicely.

So the Caterham would be used in the summer, spring, fall, and warmish winter days whenever I’m too lazy to get kitted up to ride my Suzuki, and then I’ll have a £500 shitter like a Nissan Micra or something for really cold winter days

Other option is for me to just buy an Mx5 and finance it, perhaps a good NC (though I could stretch to an early ND) and use that as my only car instead (with the bike as well for whenever I feel like it). I currently drive an STI, and I love it but feel like the Miata may not feel particularly thrilling or raw (I am someone who loves “slow” cars - not that the MX5 can be called slow, but its certainly not superfast either)

If it were me and budget allowed, I’d go for the 2.0L ND. The ND may not have the ‘raw’ feeling that I get from my NB, but it’ll be more comfortable year-round and definitely faster.
