No, not a Volvo.

Have a Blohm und Voss BV 144, intended for post war use in the event that WW2 went as German high command originally intended. Production was contracted to Breguet in Bordeaux who finished just two, both used by the French forces after the war. Its peculiarity was a variable incidence wing, the benefit of which was that the angle could be increased for takeoff so that the fuselage could remain level and the passengers need not be alarmed by the plane flying nose up during take off and climb.

Note the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on the tail. The late Winston Churchill is recorded as saying that the greatest cross he had to bear was the Cross of L orraine (he didn’t get on with de Gaulle).

As a modern passenger, I’d be more alarmed if we were reaching the end of the runway with no signs of the nose pitching up!
