We decided we wanted to keep the dog we are getting out of the room with the litter box. I suggested a gate, but my wife was worried about forcing her 15 year old cat to jump to get into the room. She found the kitty pass xl on Amazon.

They advertise it as being big enough for a 30lbs cat. Our 16lbs cat fills it for the most part; so I doubt that claim. All the cats have used it though so I’m calling it a success.

Cats can fit through some very tight spaces, you'd be amazed. Looks like a fat cat could get through that thing

Thanks; I may have enticed him out of the room to model it for me. He really likes tortilla chips.

as long as the cats head can go throught,m the rest of the cat can follow. unless its a REAL:LY fat cat. I can see the 30lbs claim being true

fatass might get stuck once or twice though

It was very easy to install. They provide a template for the hole and the two outer pieces attach with double sided tape. Then there’s a groove that you slide a filler panel into. If you had solid wood doors you could even skip that, but ours are hollow.

The other side is a circle with kitty ears.

Did something similar at my girlfriend's house, where my car and her cat are living in harmony. But her cat would prevent my cat from eating because he's a little fatty. So we bought an electronic cat door that only lets my cat through by reading her chip. Took her some getting used to but it's working great! Doesn't look as cool as yours though.

I have this incredible urge to draw a puckered butthole where it belongs below the tail on that thing...

Pretty sure my 60# lab would get through without much trouble if there was a bowl of food on the other side.

I have my wife convinced I accidentally mounted it backwards. The other side has kitty ears. In reality I wanted to be able to say they climb through the cat butt to get through.
