Kinja'd!!!

Building a few brackets and my welding friend is out of town, so I drove for thirty minutes up to Tacoma to both quickly realize I never want to live in Tacoma and to pick up Milwaukee’s newish cordless rivet gun. It is turbo fast and makes installing all rivets a no brainier. All the pulls or whatever they’re called are conveniently dumped into a removable bucket. Not cheap at 200, but worth it for my lazy ass.

Funny you mention rivets.  I was using some rivets today as well - reinforcing some downspout elbow joints.  My Jet branded riveter decided to fall apart, and after getting it back together, the little stem pieces (or whatever they are called) don’t fall out easily - I have to pull them out with a pair of pliers.  I’ve only used it half a dozen times.  I’m disappointed in it.

Tacoma still has "The Tacoma Aroma." I can't un-smell it. People insist it's better, but it's still there!

Also, if  you’re in the PNW area, you're more than welcome to borrow the rivet tool

Hah, no worries! I don't have too many more projects that I'll need to do a ton of riveting on. Although I am really interested in buying an air hammer and a rivet set, and try working with solid rivets.  Maybe for my birthday...
