The bench isn’t flat, don’t freak out
Oh yeah.
Stopped by the machine shop doing the block for the Chevelle and checked out my new heads (which are disassembled as they were checking them over). I thought I was getting engine parts, but it turns out I ordered some works of CNC’ed art.
Getting excited for this engine
again.

I’ve gone so overboard on this engine build that at this point it’s almost getting to “fuck it why not” with better and better parts. The car has no business having this tier of engine in it but it’s going to be fun.

What really got me was the weight. I’m used to stock iron heads, which weigh approximately 50 long tons a piece. While checking this aluminum one over, I was almost throwing it every time I’d pick it up, it’s so light!
(Real numbers from the internet: Stock 350 head is 50lb, aluminum usually 25lb or so
)
