I was out having fun in the snow, and I made a big mistake. Smacked a curb pretty bad. I wasn’t going very fast, and didn’t have a ton of angle, but still it did some damage I’m sure.

I’m not sure how bad it is yet, but on the drive home I had to keep my front wheels turned to go straight so... it’s not good

I can’t tell visually if the toe is out on this wheel or not, but it looks kinda off. I think at the very least the wheel is bent.

Also this post was supposed to include a pic of the curb rash on my right rear wheel, but I can’t post pics right now, it’s either my slow internet connection or kinja.

Nooo! That’s how you know the snow should be gone. I did that with my Civic a few years back, no damage somehow though.

We’ll see if I get that lucky, but I don’t think so. Maybe there will be enough adjustment that it just needs an alignment

I’d rather be biking. Hopefully this is the last sign of winter we get this year. I really can’t complain, spring started about a month ago, which is early here.

Sounds like you bent something. Rear wheel took the impact? There are all sorts of rods and things keeping the rear wheel aligned. No way to tell what happened except for getting it off the ground and giving underneath a proper inspection.

Ouch I’ve done that too. Got lucky just bent a steel rim.

Oof. In the Bimmer? I did something similar a few months ago in my Golf, turns out the only adjustable point on alignment is front toe. Nothing was broken or bent as far as I could tell (and as far as the tire shop could tell, I blew out a sidewall), so I just got it good enough in a parking lot with a 7/8th wrench and some vice grips.

Yeah it was the BMW. Hopefully my cheap wheel  took the impact and nothing crazy happened behind it.
