So the wife’s Saab 9-7x h as been having issues with the ABS activating randomly. Probably just one of the sensors. I’ve already replaced one hub, so I decide to replace the other one since the bearing in it has 130k miles on it.
Doesn’t fix the problem. So I replace one of the rear ABS sensors and that doesn’t fix it either. Swap the new sensor over to the other side and reinstall the original sensor. No dice.
Time to give up and take it to the shop since I’m tired of throwing parts at it and they can figure it out in 2 minutes with a Tech2 reader.
Fast forward 2 days, get a call from the shop saying their Tech2 reader is broken and they can’t help me, and it will be 6 weeks before they get it repaired . Come pick it up. WTF. I’ve never had a mechanic straight up give up. I mean, I appreciate that he’s not willing to just throw parts at it, especially since I told him that’s what I was trying to avoid. But find another reader. Who do you buy tools from? Get a loaner? Gah!
On top of that, my plasterers decided to flake out on my job to go fishing (walleye season!) , so my boys have been sleeping on the floor. Who knows when he’ll actually show up.
And now the dumpster I ordered to dispose of that shed didn’t show up. FML.
My 16 yr old kitty for your time. Time for a drink.

Mmmm... Walleye.
Is it just the ABS light or does the brake light illuminate as well?

Pretty good for a kitty that age to get up and play like that.

He’s lost 2 pounds since Christmas, so we've diagnosed him with the "dwindles". (The vet can't find anything wrong with him without expensive testing). Despite the weight loss, he seems as perky as ever.

No ABS light, brake light, no codes.

I’ll happily take your money!
Anyway... they say these things happen in threes... so you should be up for some good luck now.

I could add that my custom tile order for a fireplace surround is officially a week late. But that’s not too bad considering how busy every contractor is around here.

They are sensitive to tire size. If one tire appears to be turning at a different speed than the others it will trigger, sometimes even if just a little bit different.
Are all 4 tires the same brand/type/treadwear and pressure? Try rotating front to back.

Wow. Well here’s hoping he eats well and stays healthy.

They are all the same age/brand etc. But one does lose pressure over time, and my wife isn't the best at topping it off. I did notice it gets better when I fill it up.

Sometimes crud will get into the tone rings or the tone rings will crack. Often causes your symptom because it reads as erratic speed rather than a missing signal.

get the leak fixed, then try rotating them. I bet it goes away.
I noticed my car will trigger a low traction warning and ABS if my tires are overinflated, they will bounce and skip a little on a bumpy road.
