Im taking a walk over lunch on this beautiful day and there’s a random crowd of adults on their phone in a park.
After about 5 minutes they wandered somewhere else and stopped again...

Yep. They have made lots of changes and improvements to it too.
I don’t play it on my phone anymore, but since I’m still into Pokemon (pumped for the Switch game) I’ve kept up with info about the app.

I played it for about the first 9 months then it started to get boring. I may have to download it again and see what’s changed.
I just bought a switch and didn't know about the Pokemon game I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

I was over at my buddy’ s for some table top rp action and we had to take a break from pretending to be super heroes to drive to some random park so everyone else could enter a raid for a special pokem on

That’s hilarious! It also seems like they’ve made it more engaging that the initial one which is good.
I’ve been playing MTG again and some of those guys still talk about it, but that's not really a good sample of the normal population (myself included in that).

I dabble when traveling, when out somewhere with my son, or when out walking my dogs. Fun little reward for taking a longer walk.

Yeah today was a special raid day where over lunch it was only legendary raid (high level tier pokemon).
And more people equals a better chance of defeating the pokemon for a chance to catch it.

I originally stopped in like 2004/5 and picked it up again about a year ago. Man have things changed. The first time someone pulled out a Planeswalker I was like WTF is that?
I’ve done a couple FNM events on the current stuff and it’s ok but I don’t love it. The old cards have had a resurgence lately so I’ve been playing legacy games. Mostly I pulled out my old decks that are like core 8 and earlier. I had to trim them down as now the games are pretty fast paced with decks right at 60 cards designed to play the same every time.
Mine were originally built for 1 v many games because that's what everyone I knew used to play s o the decks we re 80+ cards and always had some chance built into it.

It comes and goes. I only play a lot on event days. last year I got really into it and maxed out two characters. But now I just kind of only play for events. I do my daily spins, catches, and research tasks, but that’s about it.

I recently got back into playing Runescape. I play the Oldschool Runescape mobile version. It’s like I’m back in 2007 but with modern internet access. Had to start my character over again for ORS, but I’ve gotten pretty far in a short period of time. I think I might have a problem with level based games and addiction lol.

I started playing around ice age and played for awhile and quit. Cam back around Mirrodin and quit again after Ravnica City of Guilds.
The few times I’ve busted out a deck to play against someone since then I’ ve seen some crazy cards. I feel like there’s some major power creep.
I understand what you mean about the 1v1 and 1vMany differences. I played almost exclusively 1vMany and when my roomie got into standard I had to re-engineer a lot of decks or he’d just roll over me before I got anything going on.

Yeah it’s crazy. I’ve got an Elf deck that if it could survive the first 5 rounds was unkillable. It didn’t pack the biggest punch but I was able to generate obscene amounts of Mana and life. Then roll out giant high mana creatures too.
Mo st cards have gotten weaker lately so a modern deck gets obliterated by a 15 year old one now (the makes me feel ol d). They’re starting to get better again but I have a modern and legacy sliver deck and the legacy will win against the same decks more than the modern.
The older cards have really exploded in value too. I had someone offer me $1k for a legacy deck that was mostly core 4/5 Gen stuff that probably cost me $50 to p ut together 15 years ago (there’s that number again). I had just kicked a bunch of ass with it that night too so that helped.

I have a decent amount of stops and a couple gyms within walking distance of my house, then a gym and a stop along the route to my work. It works out well.
