uhhmuhhgawd
This was the single thing I was most excited to see.

Yep, this was the most incredible thing to me. All the more so because it’s not clean, it’s got all that visible scorching, because you know it’s from returning from space! And somehow it feels more accessible than say the capsules on the Mall, encased in yellowed plastic as they are (or were when I last visited).

Ran when parked. No lowballers.

I was there a couple of hears ago with my father, I told him I now know how he felt visiting the Air and Space museum with me as a child and seeing the Apollo space craft on display, old, as this was once the great new exciting space technology.

Worth the trip alone.
Great shots.

Coming here to say the same. The char and dust really made it come to life.

When I was there last, we stood under the tail and I had my son (age 5) on my shoulders. He reached upward and we got swarmed by 2 security guys (his hand was still a few feet from the tiles). They definitely make it accessible, but they’re also very protective.

It hadn’t arrived when I was there. I wish it had. Its amazing in the context of falcon heavy lofting a car that we got this thing...full of stuff...into orbit and not just once.

Wow. Just wow.
Like I said in a previous comment... an ex didn’t want to make the trip out of DC for this. The key word here is “ex.”

LMAO, those weren’t there at the time. Maybe I’m the reason...

The wear/
gradient effects on the tile shots are
really
cool. Like some of
our favorite machine vs. nature
shots, only IN SPACE.

Thank you! Hope you’re able to get up there one day.
This was one of those instances were I again regretted not getting the 18-300 you have. I didn’t want to be toting around my big bag so I only went in with my kit 18-55.
