That Depositions aren’t much like Inquisitions and lawyers love to say, “I object to form.” This usually happens when the plaintiff’s lawyer asks a multi -part question or a question that calls for speculation.

Kinja'd!!!

That Manhattan has more than its fair share of black SUVs and that some cyclists actually stop for traffic (at least when they are pulling a trailer).

Kinja'd!!!

That Bus Lanes don’t mean jack squat until one of these guys shows up.

Kinja'd!!!

That even when those guys show up, the rules don’t apply to some cars AND more cars in NYC deserve fancy bumper guards.

Kinja'd!!!

That people who double park, even if they are just “standing, ” are of the devil and deserve a special punishment for screwing up traffic. (Yeah, I’m looking at you, Camry driver.)

And finally, Korean BBQ doesn’t taste as good as it looks and is a taste that I will never acquire.

Kinja'd!!!

Despite all of your excellent suggestions, I decided to try something new and instantly regretted it.

I head back home tomorrow. Thanks for tagging along, Oppo!

What did you order at the Korean place?

That kimchi looks pretty good.

How do I delete someone’s post?

Japchae. It was edible. The only appetizer I could stomach was the macaroni salad.

I’m sure it was fine for someone who likes kimchi. I did my best to eat some of each of the appetizers. I suppose I’ m not a fan of kimchi, whichever one it was.

I would have suggested something much more familiar like Bulgogi. I can kind of get being now a fan of Japchae.

*Looks up Bulgogi*

That probably would ha ve been more palatable. I was thinking that I like noodles and I like pork, so Japchae would be a good option.

I’m not a fan of vinegary/sour, so it wasn’t such a good option.

So you went to a Korean BBQ and didn’t order Korean BBQ.

I’m generally not a fan of the sides, but a few are ok. But bulgogi and the other grilled meats rock.

No no no. WTF. I’ve only had Korean BBQ once and it was heavenly.

I was going it on my own and didn’t have any guidance. The pictures in the menu weren’t doing it justice and I couldn’t smell  any meat grilling. I should have stopped at one of the sidewalk stands. They were making my mouth water.

Ah- that’s too bad. I’ve found that it’s best to try new cuisine with someone from that country if possible.

I’m surprised you couldn’t smell the meat grilling - it’s done at the table, by you(!), and every place I’ve gone has a very strong smell of grilled meat in it.

Oh well, maybe next time try the bibimbap if they have one , I think its a good entry point for first timers. The bowl is ripping hot and you mix it up while hot. Normally they have a few toppings over rice like so. Like you I sometimes am iffy about the pickled stuff.

And finally, Korean BBQ doesn’t taste as good as it looks and is a taste that I will never acquire.

Korean BBQ is marinated, grilled meat with flavorful vegetable sides and spicy pickles. You get to grill it yourself so it’s done exactly to your liking. Sure, some of the sides might be kind of exotic but other than that, how is this take even possible?

There were no facilities at the table for grilling it myself. If there was grilling to be done, it had to be done at the back.

Then you didn’t have Korean BBQ , you had something else . Try it again somewhere better.

it was amazing.  I think the thing in your photo in the lower right is the same dish as in mine that is directly next to the rice bowl.
