Seems like it to me. Then again, Firefox and Thunderbird have been getting pretty kludgy lately...

Yes, yes a thousand times yes. I use Chrome pretty much only for Kinja stuff.
I thought thunderbird was dead

I mean there’s a reason for that:
And of course, the situation is even more extreme on mobile.

I use Firefox on Windows, Linux, and Android, with ad blockers on all three, and Kinja behaves roughly the same wherever I go. The only bugginess I’ve noticed is that sometimes a page fails to load properly due to some JavaScript hanging, but that doesn’t seem to be Firefox’s fault.
Now, if only
Kinja would just drop the infinite scroll crap on article pages...

Thunderbird
may
be dead. What do you recommend for an email client for Windows?

I resorted to Chrome on my Android because Ff was running so slowly.

Wait, you mean they weren’t just rolling out a spicy new design
this afternoon?

They’re going QR.

No, most developers are just lazy & only test on Chrome as if no other browsers exist.
Chrome is no better than internet explorer, I’m a software engineer who tests these things.
Anything based on Chromium is a larger target for any & all new malware. Just because something is fast & popular doesn't mean it's a rational choice.

Try Beta or developer edition daily builds.

I no longer use Windows, but I use gmail everywhere. Just the website on desktop, the app on mobile. Gmail also performs better on Chrome I think, but it works well enough on Firefox so it’s cool.
Unlike KINJA

Mine has been extra ducky lately. It was bad the past few weeks, but the most recent FF update is making it nearly unusable. I am dealing with it for now, mostly because I refuse to download chrome.

I am seriously confused because anytime people say there are issues with Kinja and, I literally never have any problems! 0_o
Also, I use Firefox daily to access Oppo on a Win10 desktop and a Linux Mint 19.1 laptop and it always looks fine to me?

Oppo was one of the main reasons I switched from firefox to chrome back in 2011.

My spin: just because everyone uses it, does that make Chrome better? My rationale for continuing to try to use Ff is the idea that I’m under less hacker risk.

Android versions, you mean? I’ll see if I can push or force
an update.
![]() 04/09/2019 at 18:13 |

I have resisted that if only because I prefer features and functionality of an email client via IMAP.

I avoid Chrome. Not 100%, but as much as I can. I think the Google website gets most of the same out of you as the Chrome browser does.

Spotty for me. Pages don’t load or display completely.
![]() 04/09/2019 at 18:18 |

I’ll resort to Chrome from time to time, but Ff is my default browser.

Get a Mac.

Have you tried completely removing it and reinstalling? You could export your bookmarks first, or if you have a Firefox Sync account, it will store them all in the cloud.

There are separate versions on Play Store

I have several.

I may try something drastic like that if things get worse, but I have four or five computers I use on regular basis.

I’ll check. On Windows, it seems like Ff is updating every other day.
