Fun event, so nothing counted, but I came within 0.021 seconds of the leader in D Street. Which was still 3 seconds off the pace of the fastest D Street time (he was competing in Pro in his STI ). Also big shout out to the SCCA for believing that my 128i is competitive with the STI, Golf R, BRZ/GT86/FRS, JCW Mini’s, and the 4-cylinder Camaros.
/narrator voice/ It isn’t.

Even worse, the Focus RS is in DS now.

The regular one is, the 2019’s are still BS. But you know, the way 128i is definitely comparable.

That just means you have it set up wrong.
Sincerely,
Somebody who would
get thrown out of D Street halfway through his first run.
Seriously though, SCCA classification these days strikes me as hitting the perfect balance between ‘delusional owners of economy cars,’ ‘assholes that can’t drive their Corvette, ’ and ‘nothing makes racing more fun than ADDING MORE RULES !’

Hey, at least your nearly 35 year old car doesn’t have to run against Exige S240's on R-compounds.
No, I’m not joking. Go look at FSP.

Is this a regular location? If so I may try and check it out sometime.

Yeah, it’s our regular spot. Go to the Cincy SCCA website for the schedule.
