Pretty much. Too bad the thing didn’t stay put.
I knew a guy back in the Army in the mid 80s who had an empty CO2 cartridge. He bought a couple boxes of matchbook matches and took an X-acto knife and shaved off the flammable stuff and packed it tightly into the CO2 cartridge and made some sort of fuse for it. Duct-taped it to a tree and lit the fuse and
BOOM!

No way. Way, way more than that. Consider that, in addition to the actual assembly of the thing , you have to account for acquiring all the materials, setting up the camera for every scene, making adjustments throughout to make sure the stop-motion effect is working properly, and then all the editing in “post”. This is days of work.
