As title says, share with the rest of us what the most overpriced Fiero is near you. The golden rule of Fi eros is that automatics take a massive price hit. Here’s mine - 1985 GT, over 100k miles, damaged, for an eye watering 6K...
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
like, yeah it’s a GT with a stick shift but its an 85 which are not only very common, but they’re the worst since they still have the 4-speed and not the 5 speed like the 4 banger has...Anyways, combine that with the terrible paint work and no interior shots and this car would struggle to bring in half that asking price.
What s the worst one near you?

Probably this one:

Huh. I’ve never looked at fieros on CL. There seem to be a ton of very nice ones in the $5-6k range, and surprisingly some drivable ones in the sub $1k range. Almost nothing outside of those two groups though.
Anyways, here’s mine. Good luck beating this!

That hits close to home since I saved my Fiero from becoming an electric car....a really shitty electric car, to be exact. Granted, at least they have 60-80 mile ranges now. I remember when I was looking for my first car, someone in my subdivision had an electric fiero that had a range of 30 miles. I didn’t buy it.

Despite technically being unemployed, I came pretty close to buying a new vehicle after a quick test drive today. I held off by convincing myself that I'd rather use that money to invest...

Invest in Fi eros?

Here in PNW — where cars never die — the selection doesn’t seem too bad. I could only find two in town, and they’re both manual ‘88s. One is in very nice condition for $4500; the other is in decent condition for $3500 at a dealer:

Was the Fiero ever officially imported to Australia?
![]() 04/08/2019 at 02:03 |

no, I don’t think it was officially sold anywhere outside of US/Canada?

hmmm...hard to say if that’s CP then....But some baller in Australia is gonna enjoy it, I hope.

Absolutely this FuaxRarri at 13500. No clapped out Fiero could ever been this over priced. It’s not even finished. Ad says it has no top, and the suspension is set up for s V8 swap which hasn’t been done yet.
I also found a stock 88 GT for 7600, which seems a bit CP but it doesn’t compare.

Automatic 86 SE with 179K miles for $10K “firm ”!? That's a $3000 car. I don't care how clean it is.
![]() 04/08/2019 at 06:17 |

When clean 88 Formula 5-speeds are available for less than $6000, I can't justify spending $13K on a GT.

There are 2 GTs for $13K, but this one may not b CP as they are looking to trade it. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/d/granite-city-84-fiero-trade/6840909469.html

Honestly... I’d prefer it with the 4mt. Why? Because it’s a GM transmission. 4 speeds mean I don’t have to shift it as much.

The 4-speed actually has a narrower gear range than the 5-speed. As in, the first gear in the 4-speed is taller than the 5, but 4th gear is shorter than 5th. You’d probably be working the 4-speed more, especially with a 4-cylinder, to keep the car going once you’re in motion and you run out of that tall first gear.

“No accidents or repairs”
*Shows ALL the recall notices*
I don’t get it...Doubly so since he has the literal most common Fiero GT. But whatever...
Other one is a bit much, but I’ve seen worse. It’s a 2500$ car on a good day in summer if it cleans up nicely.

Also let’s take a moment and appreciate that it is being sold by a guy called Roy. Because of course it would be a guy called Roy.
Roy is the kinda guy to flirt horrendously with the teenage waitress at the local diner and then leave her a 63 cent tip because “Well if she wants more she should get a REAL job”.
Roy’s the kinda guy who heard from his doctor he needs to get more exercise so he rides the riding mower twice a week in summer and calls it his “workout” . And he always tells his wife Miriam “Doctor’s orders” with a wink and a genuine chuckle as he puts on his fishing hat and steps out the door to mount on top the Yard- Man for another go around the property, even though the grass is nowhere near the maximum height for lawns per the HOA bylaws.
Roy’s the kinda guy who enforces HOA bylaws.
...Roy’s kind of an ass, is what I’m saying.

WEIRD. I was looking at the ratios on Wikipedia, I saw that ratios were closer, but final drive was taller. I figured the math worked out to similar ranges.

Well, there are only two listed for the entire country so I guess Flavien can have one as his entry and the other will be mine.

Oh yeah, the final drive was different....I’d still take the 5 just so the engines aren’t screaming their faces off at high RPMs. Apparently the 84 Fiero was prone to blowing gaskets since the 4-banger had to do over 3000rpm to hold just 60mph while the 5-speed let it cruise at 60-70 and stay in the low to mid 2000s.

Not when you can import one from the states for half the price. The 25 year rule works here too.

I have to say that the Diablo fake looks better than the Ferrari fake. At least some effort was made on the interior to make it a more upscale 80s Pontiac interior.
