I’m not looking for a project or I’d be very interested in this one. Figured someone here might be keen. $4500 near Cincinnati.

I like the van, but unless I missed something in the ad I’m confused.
Has he painted just the front end and roof or are these two different vans? Maybe he finished any rust repair in these areas and painted it to protect it.

I couldn’t figure that out either. Seemed likely those were the same van at very different points in time but ¯\_()_/¯

Note: I will take on SJ projects for Oppos on a highly conditional basis. And I’ll OK this core. Would only be looking to do an SSJ WINGSPAR (Wingspan 348 / Anchor Point 545RFE / NVG245 / WKa2 electrical.) 4 50 HP, 525ft/lbs, catalytic (Federal) with full StarTECH/wiPod compatible O BD-II.

Wondered whether you’d chime in. Where are you located?

I personally operate out of Cleveland west side (about 5-6 hours away from here) but I have in-house haul and arrangements with point-to-point carriers. Necessity because I have to send out to real specialists for all of the frame and body work. The actual woodworking comes from a specialty shop all the way out in Wisconsin, most upholstery materials are sourced from a shop in California, and so on. (The most important part of building things like this? Knowing what you can’t do.)

What if some nutcase with deep pockets came to you with one of these and a Tesla Model S P100D and wanted you to create a Jeesla for him... a vehicle that looks like an SJ inside and out, but goes, stops and turns like a Tesla.
Would you take on a project like that?

No.
Because a Tesla would be vastly inferior.
Before the weight penalty.
Did I neglect to mention the 6/4 brakes? (No, not antilock.)
Also because Tesla’s a bunch of stuck-up assholes who go out of their way to make it impossible to repair, much less modify, their drivetrains.
