Something about this seems more strenuous than Nurburgring

With the uneven tire wear from those miles long left handers, it's a couple laps max before pit?

Driving a lawn mower? :P

We’re not racing there.

AVUS doesn’t exist anymore but it used to have a very unusual layout. It used to have only two long straight connected by two heavily banked corners. It was originally 19.5 km long track but it was shorted to 8.3 km after WWII. In 60's the banked corners were removed. The picture shows the non-banked version.

Long trip, but sure.

Remember when James May went over 250 mph in a Veyron SS?
Yeah, shit’s fun until you cross the 300 mph barrier and no bumfuck knows what’s gonna happen. That’s why the whole oval is 8 lanes wide.

Absurd place . Would have been spectacular to see the original incarnation today. Imagine the speed freaks who would ply those roads...

Looks like Ehra Lessein (spelling?)

It still exists! Not as a racing circuit, though, but as part of an autobahn.

Is this the Hanoi GP layout?

Fuck no.

I wonder what the front tire wear would end up being with that circuit. It’s a tricky set up because the straight is important but you could loose a lot in the oval style ends, banked at all? Flat or elevation change?

Yeah. Some of it is still there but sadly no more racing. The banked corner is gone but the round control tower still exists as a hotel.

I based that on the facility you mentioned, which is Ehra-Lessien.

Think Ehra-Lessien and you’ll get to what I want to do here.
