Casey is being put down tomorrow. It is heartbreaking for me. I said my goodbye today, I’d rather say it today at my home where she could meet my puppy than the waiting room of a vet tomorrow. I’m so down and upset , but I got to walk both my dogs at the same time, just once and I’ll always cherish that memory. It will be hard going to my parents without her there. My parents just became empty nesters and this has made it harder on them.
She came into my life when I was 13, she saw me grow up, date, start driving, get married and move out.
She used to ride shotgun in the truck. So many good memories. I’ve tried to take her for drives like old times recently and take more pictures of her.
First Christmas

That really really sucks man. I’m sorry. Losing a lifelong friend and family member is really difficult. So many good memories though. T he pictures are a good idea, as triggering as they’ll likely forever be.
Hopefully puppy kisses help, if but just a little.

I am sorry to hear about Casey. It hurts to lose a beloved family pet, especially one that you grew up with. Be grateful for all the time that you had with her and try to make the most of these last few days.

One of my feral backyard kitties was euthanized a couple days ago and it’s really gotten to me (it was Ellie’s mom). I couldn’t handle losing a pet right now. I’m so sorry.

Oh no. I’m really sad to hear that. It’s so tough when illness starts to take our loved ones away even before their bodies go. I haven’t experienced this much myself, but one of my good friend’s dad has had Alzheimer’s for a while and... boy it sounds terrible.
I’m sorry to say it, but y ou’re gonna have a sad, hard month or two soon. But I’m glad you have Targa to help comfort you/ distract you with poop-bombs and general mischief.

It’s always sad to lose a fried, especially one that was around during your, ahem, formative years. Fond memories help ease the pain. Now is a good time to put together an album of your best pics of her. It will help, I’m sure.

I'm sorry, dude. Enjoy what time you have and cherish everything you've been through (which I'm sure I don't need to remind you). And if you need anything, we're here.

I’m sorry. The passing of a family member like this is nothing short of traumatic.
I try to look at it as their life helps me appreciate, care for and perhaps rescue another life.

Im sorry. That really stinks. Losing a beloved family pet is never easy, but I’m glad you’ve gotten to spend some time with her lately.
Ozzy sends love.

*hugs* I’m so sorry. My closest equivalent was Sugar and that was incredibly tough, far worse than the seemingly world-ending loss of my childhood doggo. There are always other dogs, but there is that one cannot be displaced in your heart.. .

I’m really sorry to hear this mate.
It sounds like Casey had a long, rich, full and loving life which is all any of us can ask for.
Casey and yourself not only watched each other grow up, but shaped each others lives, both giving and receiving parts of each other. So while she wo nt be with you physically, she will always be there, part of you.
Take care mate, condolences to all kith and kin.

My mom’s labradoodle is struggling to get up these days. She’s 13. It’s going to be a very sad day when that dog dies. My condolences to you.
