I’m not sure FedEx understands what Overnight means. Like your cousin Joey who just needs a place to crash “for the night, while the dust settles with my girlfriend - maybe two nights. No more than a week. Maybe two.”
It’s Friday morning here, 7:59 am. “Overnight” should at LEAST mean Monday delivery, if they don’t do Saturdays. But I would kind of expect Saturday.
It’s a pretty reasonable price for “overnight” though, so maybe that’s why it’s actually 4 days; 2 business days at least, and more like 3. Needless to say, I’m going with FAST ‘N’ FREE, six days. Whatever, I’m not in a rush. My current phone is acting pretty sketchy but it’ll make it.
Damn, though, we are spoiled with Amazon Prime 2-day delivery on everything.

I’m guessing that the seller is the problem and not Fed Ex, because that makes no sense?

Poshmark 2-day delivery is nice, too. However, as a seller and a buyer, I really wish they had a free option that took like 10 days to ship. Sales would JUMP.

eBay factors in handling time into the delivery estimate. So if the seller put “2 Business Days” as their handling time, your item gets overnighted once the handling time is up. In this case, your item would ship on Monday.
If delivery dates look goofy, it's the seller's fault.
- eBay seller.

They didn’t specify over WHICH night.

Fedex is quite aware what overnight means. But the seller presumably has a one business day lead time, so they aren’t promising to ship until Monday. Priority mail is 2-3 days, so that number makes sense as well, though it’s less clear to me that USPS knows what 2-3 days means.

I got my Rolex offline on Thursday night and paid for over night. Naturally, I got it Monday.

Friday? It’d probably be put into the sort on Sunday/sat night (don’t know if they sort sat day ) and flown to your hub. Then shipped Monday or tuesday. Since it’s standard overnight they’ll reserve the flexibility to bump you for expedited/priority packages

I think that’s exactly it.

That makes sense. One thing I’m sure of is not paying more for a slightly earlier delivery on a non-urgent item.

With luck, it’s quite possible they do ship today, and then that P riority M ail shipping only takes 2 days, so you might get it as soon as Tuesday.

That would be lovely, because my current phone has been getting substantially worse JUST TODAY. I swear it knows its being replaced and now its punishing me. It’s not performance that’s the issue, but the screen doesn’t wake up when I press the home or power button. It lights up sort of, but is all black. Eventually it comes up. So far anyway.
