I want one. Don’t think I can justify the $300, but damn. That would be handy up here in rustville.

Last time I checked, it was the Mini-Ductor at $1000. So $300 is almost worthwhile (when I lived in Wisconsin).

Or you could really cheap out or you could DIY:

Oxy-acet is my go-to but there’s times when you’ve got gas lines or seals nearby. Let us know if it’s worth it after you get one!

huh they’ve come down. My dads friend has one. It is pretty fing amazing when dealing with rusty equipment, though I’d be a little bit hesitant putting that much heat into the threaded section.
BaconSandwich is tasty.

I bet a person could make one for quite a bit less. Check out the YouTube channel called “Great Scott”. He’s played with an induction heater like that before.

Neat. Wouldn’t that much heat on such a specific part of the block make it brittle though? Can’t imagine it’s good for the metallurgy.
Also who can name the engine? No cheating!

We have a bolt buster one in our shop and it’s worth it’s cost for freeing up rusty bolts. Much less messy than a Mapp gas torch too. We’ve had more than a few fasteners that were going to be cut outs or drill outs after breaking, but a bit of heat and they came loose. Worth it.

Speaking of tools, I’m definitely getting one of these. I’ve had trouble using manual impact drivers and this looks really good. I found it just the other day on Mustie1's YT channel, and it seems ETCG showed it a couple years ago.
