So the project Wagovan/ Project Golf Ball isn’t going as planned. As it is, I have two weeks to get it ready to drive to Arkansas, do some overlanding, and drive back. Here is all the stuff I still need to do.
Functional
Fix fuel starvation/ running issue on the highway
Replace muffler/ blown exhaust
Gearbox fluid change
Diff fluid change
Replace caliper slide bolts
Replace calipers (if slides don’t fix the issues)
Replace alternator belt
Replace AC compressor belt
Install aftermarket TPMS
Adjust rear latch
Usability
Replace interior lights with LEDs
Mount and wire spotlights
Re-install gas tank skid plate
Re-install front skid plates
Refresh cooling system
Relocate expansion tank
Cosmetic
Finish wiping off masking tape goop
Fix over-spray
Do a damn color reveal
With 15 days to go this is all very do-able. Realistically most of the critical stuff is doable in a weekend.
Maybe this weekend?

Why add TPMS?

This is written in the style of David Tracy, but doesn’t feel as full of rust or lack of time . God speed.

Yeah, where is the engine removal 3 or 4 times ? Why isnt the frame rusted to non-existenance? And its all in more than 48 hours from now for a drive across the entire country??

Ehh fuel starvation sounds about the only pressing issue. Once that is done, you should be able to easily knock out the other stuff with periodic work on it here or there.

What issue are you having with the brakes?

Cuz I like it haha. On the Discovery I can’t tell when a tire is flat, which is weird, which has led to some pretty significant paranoia. It now has TPMS and so I went ahead and bought a system for the Civic too. They just replace the dust caps, so not a huge deal.

Pretty much!

They drag to the point the car pulls to the left. Greasing the slide pins made it better, but didn’t make it go away. Slide pins are cheap, so I ordered a new set and will give everything a good scub while I’m in there.

How do they alert on low pressure?
