Much like weatherfolk have redefined spring for meteorological purposes, I’ve decided my spring begins when I put the soft doors on, and thus summer when I remove the doors 24x7, and autumn when I put the soft doors back on.
Spring kicked off April 2nd this year. Bring on summer!

Does your Jeep live in a garage when you aren't driving it? I imagine it might get a little damp in the summer if you leave the doors off and it's out in the rain.

I like the cut of your jib. Or mast. Or soft top. Whatever - just bring on the warm weather.

Good to know. I have a Miata but I think my interior is a lot less tolerant of wet weather. No drain plugs that I'm aware of.

Yeah, I wouldn’t do anything that extreme in most vehicles. Just part of the fun of driving a Jeep, helps compensate for the terrible fuel mileage and overall discomfort.

For me it’s when I can start riding the motorcycle regularly. I don't have a set date like you because the weather's very unpredictable here. It was 70 this weekend but then we had lows in the mid 20s a couple nights which means I definitely don't ride my bike into work...

It’s still a little chilly here (37° this morning driving to work) but I just got tired of waiting. I think we’re finally past the point where it’s likely to freeze again, which is what I’ve been monitoring closely.
The doors are fairly easy to swap but the rear windows are brutal to zip up when it’s this cold, so picking a day to remove them and leave them off the rest of the year (until winter) is tricky.
