One of the things I like about my current employer is that their campus is alongside a pond and several walking trails.

I saw this goose tending to their nest and eggs this morning. Kept a safe distance to avoid disrupting them and used a x8 zoom (hence the meh quality)

Unfortunately, my employer doesn’t like seeing goose poop on the walking paths, so they hire a company to try to scare away the geese. I really hope they don’t disturb the nest. Apparently they would kill the goose inside in a way that fools the geese into thinking nothing happened so as to prevent them from laying more eggs.

The goose couple responsible has been hanging out all winter and spring and hopefully they aren’t bothered.

Nice. I really miss the walking trail at my old office complex.

I work downtown now, so I walk more often at lunch, but it’s definitely not as peaceful.

On the upside, we have ducks on our pond at home - hopefully we’ll get some ducklings this year.

The cost to clean up after the geese is likely comparable to hiring the buffoons who just mess with the geese

I’d be happier if anyone even cleaned up after them. I’ve suggested a company-wide goose hunting competition but noooo we can’t do that...

Geese aren't all that bad other than their poop. But it's a small inconvenience if you ask me. Just walk around it

We have some mallards that stop by occasionally too.

There must not be as many geese there as around where I work. It’s like a minefield, not to mention the flocks which will randomly decide to set up camp either right outside of the door you’re trying to use or in the middle of the parking lot. They also like to stand around in the road.

T hat's an extreme example and they probably should do something. They can be men sobs in a pack or even solo. These geese largely stay ti themselves
