Still have condensation inside the headlight for the 2015 ‘burb (see prior !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ). Looking more likely that I will need to replace it, so I’m trying to do some research. I took a look yesterday and the top two fasteners are straightforward to find. But I could not easily locate the lower two (highlighted in yellow on the diagram).

Searching online I can’t find any instructions that show how t o remove the assembly. E very video and thread I find talks about changing the bulb, not the entire assembly.

Any help from the Oppo hive mind? Or just someone better at searching than I am?

I looked into doing this on an elderly neighbors SRX so not sure how well it translates, but it involved pulling the wheel well liners and detaching the bumper to gain access to the assembly.

Likely the front bumper cover will need to come off.  If it’s like other gms, there will be a bunch of plastic body rivets to remove and then a couple 10mm nuts on each side where the front quarter panel meets the bumper cover.  Look up some bumper cover removal videos and I’ll bet you’ll see those connectors.

You MUST remove the entire front bumper cover assembly as well as the wheel well linings.

Thanks. Not the answer I was hoping for, but the answer I need.

It means I’ll definitely spend more time trying to “fix” the problem with it still attached....

Don’t. Just don’t. If you try to bend it out of the way you’ll crack the paint. Pop the wheel well liners, then just drop the entire bumper off. It’s not as simple as dropping the back bumper on a 911 but it’s not too terrible.

What I meant was trying the hair dryer to dry it out even longer through the dust covers on the headlight assembly , not trying to get the assembly out without taking the bumper and liner off.

I’m dumb, but I’m not stupid :)

Oh, I wouldn’t assume that. I would assume you’d follow the manufacturer recommendation. Which describes only getting it loose enough to bend your way in. Because of course.
