I think this is the only time I've seen something posted to r/funny and actually laughed. I really want to do this now also haha.

Sadly I never discovered any spots like that when I had my green SHO :(

What a lovely car! The RCR video on this car definitely sold me on something I didn't know existed. Definitely a wonderful sleeper.

It was an absolutely wonderful car when it ran right. Plenty of power, amazing sound, LOVED to rev to redline and even slightly beyond. And it got 30mpg on the highway, even averaging 85mph. Handled really well for a FWD car too.
I got rid of it because parts availability is nearly nonexistent for the engine.

My car is green (take that, insurance forms). An automotive prank I want to do is print the Uber and Lyft logos and tape them inside my windshield.

Those are the most bullshit signs I’ve ever seen. And no matter what car I was in I would always park in them.

They have these in the parking lot of the science museum. I once saw an RX-8 parked in one. That’s about the biggest middle finger I can think of to the intended spirit short of a diesel-swilling bro truck. And I should know.

I guess a bro dozer is the only car I can really think of that you can’t argue isn’t “green.” I mean, what are they comparing it to? At least here in California, the signs have been replaced with EV only spots.

EV only spots are another brand of social engineering, but at least they seem more honest to me than saying “green only”. That feels a tad more judgmental on top of just bei ng elitist.

Yeah, I don’t agree with the spots. And thankfully most charging spots are at the back of lots.

I feel like you will just get random people trying to open your doors whenever you come to a stop. It would be entertaining as someone just gets in the car asking "here for Jessica?". If you happened to have the right color car that looked generic enough. This would work especially well at an airport and if you have something common.

I'd worry about having my car keyed. There's some nutjobs out there. And it's not like the police would care about it.

I’ve had this happen without having any logos. I stopped in front of an apartment building to pick up my wife from her friends place. Sitting there on my phone waiting for her to come down and suddenly my door opens and some random person starts getting in. They realized their mistake before even sitting down though and quickly got out saying sorry lol.

The ones at the front of my grocery store I go to have “35+ mpg only” signs. You can imagine that every single car that parks there gets maybe 25 max. I don’t even care to ask them about it especially because I park my FoST at the very back of the lot and get 25 mpg so these spots aren’t important to me anyways. It’s just kind of disappointing to see that, however it’s exactly what I would expect.

I drive a 2012 RAV4. I see a lot of them, but they aren’t ever Uber’s.
