True story: a small part of my job is fax machine operator for the whole store, because a lot of people have no idea how to use one.

We're leasing machines now but when we started the lease the old one that the store owned got smashed with a sledgehammer by my predecessor. So many pieces!

First time I used a fax machine I didn't anticipate the delay before the confirmation printed, and I assumed I was doing it wrong. So I tried again. And again. And again. And kept trying until the confirmation pages started printing. And the angry return fax from the recipient asking me to stop, for the love of God! Oops.

I’ve only ever sent 1 fax. Sent it upside down it turned out.
Unless you count fax by email. Did lots of those at one point.
