New intake/exhaust manifold gasket, new exhaust manifold flange gasket, carb mounted with a much nicer base gasket, fresh oil, new fuel filters, and new spark plugs. I cleaned off the nasty battery terminals and cables, hooked up jumper cables to the Subaru and turned it over without the plugs in. Slow, but no problem. With plugs in, it couldn’t do it. Would try to turn, but I could hear it drawing hard on the Subaru, and the cheap jumper cables were getting quite warm. I knew I should’ve just got a new battery instead of trying the old one.
Also I can only open the primary barrel, the throttle travel doesn’t let me open the secondary. So that’s another problem to add to the list.
