On my Alaska/Horizon flight from Kalispell to Seattle the water tender was frozen solid. The flight attendant told us that the toilets were off limits because the couldn’t put utility water onto the plane. Now I have pee anxiety and if someone tells me I can’t go I get the urge, not fun.
I was able to talk the flight attendant into allowing me to flush with my water bottle! Thank you compassionate flight attendant!
That was my plane, the Embardier 175.
Sorry f86sabre, I think the horizon variant has more leg room than the delta variant.

Does Horizon still give everyone free alcohol?
(Also I’m surprised they’re allowed to fly with no bathrooms, considering all of the other random broken stuff I’ve been delayed for)

I once was on an Alaska transcon with no coffee... All I could think of was this:

Only on the dash-8, and those are being rapidly phased out. I have used bottled water to flush on my flight to Denver before on United. It works fine.

Wheels up to wheels down was 67 minutes but that doesn’t account for boarding and deicing.

I could deal with that, just drink a coke or take a couple of ibuprofens. Toilets are critical

Without diet Mountain Dew I would simply cease to exist.

That would not work for me at all. Guaranteed way to make me need a toilet is to tell me it’s not available. They probably didn’t tell you until you were on the plane and too late to get off, too. My stomach starts churning just thinking about it.

Yep, same here. I usually have to pee after an hour in the morning and sitting on a plane for two hours really exaggerated the feeling.

I’m interested to hear what f86sabre has to say. The airline I work for says that half the toilets have to be functional to be able to fly. I thought this was an FAA rule.
I once flew 4 hours from Seattle towards Seoul only to have to turn around and fly 3 hours back to Seattle because the toilets stopped working.

They were functional for number 1, number 2 would be a no go. I flushed using bottled water.

Your lack of toilets have no power over me!

Embardier? Was there a merger between Embraer and Bombardier I should know about?
