Swat bars from flying Miata show up Monday. Install just the front for now, to stay in street class for a while. I know I'll have to bounce out soon, it doesn't make sense to put koni yellows on a car with 175k miles, I think

Nah, I put mine one at only 80k miles or so.  It helps me dial in or out understeer during autocross.

Awesome. I’m very much looking forward to it.

I don't want to out new shocks on old springs, and buying new OEM just to stay in street class seems dumb when I could just get coilovers.

No, I passed. But when I went to remove the front, one of the bolts stripped on the end link, so new end links ordered. And when I removed the exhaust, the rear sway bar was corroded. So I’ll replace that too, and goodbye street class.

I not sure how happy I'd have been with the 3. At idle, and at constant around town speed there's almost no noise. But it is loud when you're on the gas.

I HIGHLY recommend getting the blocks and installing them sometime, especially if you’re going to autocross it regularly with a stiff front bar.

Did yours come with a bolt-in baffle in the tip? I installed the RS3 mid-pip and muffler and boy howdy does it drone between 2500 and 3100 rpm with the top up and the baffle removed! Yeah, I heard the RS3 muffler alone doesn’t make much of an nois e impact until you start getting into it around 3k.

Ill get a video up soon. I can’t recommend it enough. The flying Miata bar is smaller than racing beats, and I’ll probably not p ut it on its highest setting. I like the balance as is.
