I’d be angry too, but in the context of note or no note...I think I would be soothed somewhat with the inclusion of the note.

leaving hubbys office number seems a little odd to me but i guess she just lets him take care of everything

I can understand why he’s pissed, yeah. But at the same time, the other driver made an honest mistake and ‘fessed up to it, so a tip of the cap to them for taking, you know, responsibility.  Life lesson learned.

I had that happen to my Pathfinder when I lived in the city- the other person left a note, and I ended up calling them and saying ‘no worries, we’re good’.  Probably shouldn’t have, but I bought that truck basically to let it take that kind of abuse instead of the BMW anyways, so whatever.

I can certainly understand being angry. Especially if this is a car without prior accident history, there may be a teachable moment on negotiation and a little light wrenching. If the other party is willing to come up with some cash, I’d be motivated to maintain the car’s clean history by not doing a report and finding a used bumper cover to match and/or getting a replacement painted to match and swapping them out.

I’m not a mod, but I’d think leaving the name and number on the note would be at least against the spirit of the no doxxing rule. It would be better to edit it out.

In any event, you’re right he should consider it fortunate that they left a note instead of just driving off. Hell, I don’t even have a writing implement in my car, don’t know what I’d do if I hit someone. I guess if I was at a store I could see if they could page the person.

It’s reasonable. A lot of people are the sort of assholes who would call up and yell at her. I’d want my better half to do the same.

Also I’d consider having her leave my office number because having the call picked up by a law firm receptionist might take some of the wind out of their sails if they were inclined to be a jerk.

And this is why my daily smart has spikes. People in Chicago will park by hitting your bumper and just think that it’s no big deal or that it’s okay. I’ve noticed that the spikes definitely make people think twice about that.  

And for the ones who don't care? Well they usually earn a hole in their bumper or license plate. But their cars will have so many battle scars from their bad parking I bet they wouldn't notice lol.

Well that stinks, but someday he'll learn how lucky he was that she left a note. Last time someone hit me in a parking lot, I was in the truck at the time, and they still denied it happened!
