I mean, manual take rates are dropping in Europe as well, so they need not be too smug. They aren’t yet anywhere near our near extinction of manuals, but that doesn’t mean they won’t get there eventually.

A friend of mine from grad school married a German fellow and moved to Dresden despite our warnings . She learned that the culture over there is very different. She ended up divorced and moved back to the U.S. to raise two kids by herself.
