I’ve got summers on my M3. I took it to Michelin’s wet handling circuit here in South Carolina to drift it. Despite it being cold, ~40F, and soaking wet, I had way more grip than I thought. I had to nail it in third while cutting the wheel to get the back to even start to step out. I was impressed how much grip I actually had. Now, I wouldn’t try to drive on summers in a place like that, let alone DD here in SC, hence why I’ve got all seasons on my 328i.

First of all, good thing he lived.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way. Those “mods” are God awful wingadinga and a crime against the car.

There was slush on the ground today. Not a lot, a little bit and it was 33F. My summer tires handled it pretty well.

I run my summer tires until there is ice and snow on the roadway. They are even actual Z rated performance tires not “all seasons”.
