If you can say that about a crossover, imagine how good this 2.0T+SH_AWD+10 speed would be in a TLX. Acura needs to do this ASAP!

Speaking of the transmission, I didn’t see any specific comments, good or bad. Does that mean it just does it job and neither intrusive nor great?

Seems there are a lot of complaints from consumers on the infotainment reliability and transmission shifting problems. First year model, but still not a good sign. But most reviews that have the car for a week or so are very positive. Guess the problems start popping up after a few months:

I didn’t notice any issues on either. Like I said, my problem was UI based until I figured it out. I’m still getting the hang of writing so if something doesn’t stand out as spectacular or sub-par , I sometimes forget .

Rear seat room is quite good, especially for a smaller SUV.

Yours isn’t the only review I’ve seen to call the RDX small or compact, but it’s gotten big enough that it’s closer to the small end of the midsize segment than it is to most compact CUVs. It’s only a couple inches smaller than the original MDX in each dimension.

I sat in an Advance package one at an auto show over the weekend. I liked the A-Spec, but LOVED the Advance. The interior is less flashy, more upscale. It also has adaptive dampers, so I’m very curious as to how that drives. I’ll probably test them both when the time comes.

I’d guess a lot of the infotainment complaints are people having trouble adapting to the funky touchpad controller.

No they’re not. Read all the negative reviews in the link. A lot of them are outright failures, in addition to transmission shifting problems- reminded me of the TLX 9 speed problems in 2015-16

Yeah, I thought so too when multiple comments said people were “having problems with the infotainment” on Youtube in RDX reviews, I was like maybe it’s confusing and they coudln’t connect Bluetooth or somethin until I checked the forums . Guess they better roll out those TSBs and fixes stat.

The RDX and Tiguan are the 2 biggest “compact” CUVs that I know of. Most of the mainstream brands’ compact CUVs are 180-ish inches long. The luxury brands are trending a few inches bigger but the Tiguan is still bigger than the X3, Q5 & GLC for example.

So you bring up a point I would like to extrapolate on. How does this thing weigh less than an E39 M5? I get the center of mass is higher but it seems that it could actually be a blast to drive. Your not throwing around as much weight as the bigger SUVs. Did it ever feel like it was stumbling or rolling into the corner ?

I have driven a second gen MDX with SH-AWD and while it felt planted it rolled in and out of corners. The suspension and   SH-AWD would compensate by planting the out side wheel and shift power and push off in the corners. It made it fun but you had to plan for the roll.

It’s a ton of fun. Definitely have to plan for the sheer Crossoverness of it, but it’s more than manageable. Verrrry tossable.

Consumer Reports, with a grain of salt, said the infotainment is the worse they have seen in modern day vehicle.

Aside from infotainment there is a llot of various issues owners are running into that should not be on a $ 50K car.

Good concise review. It reads like you’re gushing a bit. “Holy grail” is a pretty big claim. But if you liked it that much, then so be it. Acuras are good cars, and I can believe Honda made a good handling one.

I really appreciated the many high-quality pics, especially the interior. My mind really likes interior pics to allow me to imagine myself driving a vehicle.

I really did like it that much. I’ve driven a ton of small/midsize crossovers and this one was far above every one. I wanted to change the title a bit but didn’t push it. Acura and Honda are absolutely killing it with their vehicles right now. My next opening for an Acura is near June.

I’m glad you like the photos. I’m tempted to spend the money and get a ridiculous camera but havnt been able to justify it yet.
