Pretty color (it’s not black despite the photo), convertible, and low price makes this interesting to me, but automatic so pffft. SC 430 for $4500.

I found the “terrible on gas...22/27” comment quite amusing, given that I’d kill for that.

Wouldn’t surprise me. That’s about the only way I’d ever buy an auto: if the vehicle was never offered with  a manual. Jeep Grand Cherokee or Commander, e.g.

Fair enough - I thought the Top Gear knuckleheads were a bit unfair. A buddy of mine (my dad’s age bracket) retired from NIST and got one, and he loved it for a long time. That one is a bit CP for the mileage, but OTOH the drivetrain is probably good for another 100K before you have to start removing engines/transmissions.

It’s had been somewhat of an unpopular opinion, but I really like the way there look.

If I were 20  years older I’d get one for a weekender.

I support this endeavor. I found out the dealer who sold my LX to me didn’t realize the odo was in KM not Miles so apparently I accidentally bought a 95,000 mile LX470 for 160000 mile LX pricing. Now I have to change my timing belt though:(

Watch through 2010-11 or so, then you might not enjoy it so much. British Leyland Challenge, Italian Supercar for £10,000 Challenge, and James and Richard build a Space Shuttle. Those are my favorites.
