Buzzy as hell, taller narrower tires. Man, those metal floorboards feel solid. All metal does feel different.

It cruises comfortably at 40-45 mph, a little slower than the Vespa, but a fun ride nonetheless. I like it, but it may need a clutch and variator upgrade. But first it needs to be in good condition. Mrs. IM says she wants it. I asked her when she decided that she wanted it, and she said, “ Just now when you told me you fixed it.”

That’s such a nice looking scooter. I was disappointed when they stopped selling them. Good find, and glad it was an easy fix!

man my brain is hardwired to think of scooters as 49cc and supposedly capped at 50 kmh (soo obviously most do about 75-90)

(49cc gets the moped license and can be had at 16... soo much more common round here)

Now you needs mopeds for the boys,  a sidecar for Toby, and a basket for Pumpkin. Then you can terrorize the neighborhood with a buzzy parade.

You’d need a motorbike license in most states as well for anything over 49cc. You can get one of those starting at 16 , you just have to pass an additional couple of tests. Anything 49cc and under you just need a standard drivers license as well, so they are very common in the states too.

Those are nice bikes. Not too many hop up parts though, Genuine didn’t import them for very long. Really, LML didn’t last much longer at the point of this bike’s production anyway.  If you think the 4t auto Stella is fun, if you get a chance to ride a shifty 2t Stella or P/PX, you should take it.

And then you’ll be down the rabbit hole all the rest of us shifty fans fell into.
